Kiara Advani Will Now Be Seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Upcoming Film, Karram Kurram. She Will Play the Role of the Woman Who Started a Co-operative Organization With Other Housewives and Went on to Establish a Monopoly in Papad Business.
Kiara Advani has been signed on for Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming production on the famous FMCG brand Lijjat Papad, say media reports. Titled Karram Kurram, the film will tell the story of the brand’s rise to establishing a monopoly in the commercial papad market under the helm of the Shri Mahila Griha Udyog, an Indian women’s cooperative.
The cooperative was founded by six women in Mumbai in 1959. Today, it has 81 branches and 27 divisions around the country and reportedly provides employment to 43,000 women across India.
Karram Kurram will be directed by Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla, produced by Sunita Gowariker and presented under the banner of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions.
Kiara is also currently shooting for Raj Mehta directorial Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The film also stars Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and YouTuber Prajakta Koli. She will be seen next opposite Aditya Seal in Indoo Ki Jawani, which is expected to release in theatres on 11 December. The film has been directed by Abir Sengupta and also features comedian Mallika Dua.
