As per the latest reports, The Kapil Sharma Show will go off air next month. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the comedy show is one of the most-loved TV shows in India.
Popular TV show The Kapil Sharma Show has been the viewers’ favourite since its inception.
Hosted by India’s beloved actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, TKSS made headlines today after rumors of it going off-air started making rounds on the internet.
While reports earlier stated that the makers planned to revamp the show and would be back with the second season, a source close to the show confirmed the rumors to a leading publication.
The source shared that because there is no live audience present, no film actors are willing to come to the show for promotions.
Hence, the makers have decided to take a break, as of now, and will return once the situation gets better.
While talking to ETimes, the source was quoted saying, “Currently, there is no live audience due to the pandemic. Films too are not releasing and so, Bollywood actors are not coming to the show for any film promotion. So, the makers felt that it would be ideal to take a break right now and return when things get back to normal”.
The source also added that the break would be perfect for Kapil as he will get to spend quality time with his wife Ginni Chatrath who is reportedly pregnant with their second child.
For your information, the couple tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their child a year later in 2019.
On the work front, after venturing into the world of comedy and acting, Kapil will now make his digital debut later this year.
The comedian shared the big news online a few weeks ago. In the promo post which was for Netflix, Kapil wrote, “This is the auspicious news. Don’t believe rumors guys, only, believe me, I’m coming to @netflix_in. Soon!”
